Sandhills Cooperation Association (SCA) has funded Hoffman Community's Young Entrepreneur Agricultural Project (YEAP). This initiative, headed by SCA's Core Team member Fati Brown will engage young people, ages 5-22 in entrepreneurship through gardening/farming. The initiative will give them opportunity to learn how to research, develop and produce what can be used to create gardening/farming cash crops. They will learn how to financially operate a small business as well as their personal finances through our financial literacy program. They will also be given the opportunity to learn how to cook smart and live healthy. This is a year-round initiative that will be within the Hoffman Community.
SCA is committed to supporting programs that foster entrepreneurship and economic development in rural communities. This initiative will provide young people with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in today's economy.
